Can You Actually Make Money From Sketchy Mobile Apps?
Is playing mobile games for money too good to be true?
You’ve probably seen all the strange ads for those sketchy mobile ads promising hundreds in amazon gift cards and straight-up cash plastered all over your phone, but can you actually make any decent money?
Well, I decided to test this theory, so I downloaded Mistplay, an app with over 10 million downloads on the google play store. And apparently, they have given away nearly 25 million dollars, and I would love a fair share of the dough.
How this app works is that you download a small variety of games from the play store and let Mistplay courteously track your every move on those particular games. For the progress and time spent on each game, Mistplay gives you units, which you can then trade in for gift cards in the shop.
After around 2 days of hardcore swiping and tapping I managed to retain an entire 50 pence amazon gift card.
Now I’ll be honest this is not bad for 2 days of gameplay, and to be honest, if you pick the right game you might be able to have a good grind and maybe earn yourself a couple of bucks, however, there are some things wrong.
First of all, they don’t have the best games, I was left just tapping tiles for hours on end. Also, there are so much better things to do with your time if you want to make money and have fun, for instance, write medium articles and ask your brilliant readers if they could spare some of their time and money to tip me for writing awesome articles like this using this link.
