I Didn’t Post an Article for 2 Months, Here’s What Happened

I would love to say I stopped writing on this platform on purpose, as an experiment to say how things would go, but no, I was just being lazy.

But, who’s stopping me from writing this article? So here are the stats from my two months of inactivity.

My last post on this Medium account was on April 13, which isn’t quite 2 months yet, but it makes for a catchy headline.

Since writing that article I have surpassed the infamous 400 followers, which for me, proved to be quite tricky, I got one of my biggest Partner programme earings and got quite a bit of engagement too.

Let’s start off with views, claps and responses. As you can see in the screenshot below during this 2 month ‘dead’ period I received 140 views, 86 reads and 11 fans.

So, from the view, read, and fan perspective it is not looking too bad in my opinion, pretty average to be honest.

Now let’s look at followers, which is also a bit surprising. To be honest, I expected to lose followers overall during this period, but I did quite the opposite. I managed to gain 58 followers as well as two email subscribers, in both months I managed to get more followers in March, can you believe it!

And even in Partner Programme earnings, I manage to do really well, by earning $7.46 my best ever 2 month period, ever.

So, maybe you don’t need to write medium articles to be successful, well we’ll see.
